FC Wisconsin, Cincinnati United Premier, Minnesota TwinStars win 2017 Midwest Developmental League playoff titles
LOVES PARK, Ill. (June 13, 2017) - Three clubs combined to win six age groups during the 2017 Midwest Developmental League playoffs, June 10-12 at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two in Loves Park, Ill.
FC Wisconsin led the way with four division titles, and Cincinnati United Premier and Minnesota TwinStars added one apiece. Final playoff standings can be viewed here.
Minnesota TwinStars nearly took the '03 age group from FC Wisconsin. Both clubs' 14-U teams totaled seven points, but FC Wisconsin's goal differential proved to be the difference. 2017 id2 National Selection International Tour alumnus Santiago Davila provided a clean sheet throughout the playoffs, as FC Wisconsin boasted a 11-0 advantage in goals for/against.
Up next for all the winning teams is the 2017 NPL Finals, July 13-17 at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. Featuring 13-U through 19-U boys and girls teams, it is the culminating event of year-long, league-based competition among 22 NPLs throughout the country.

- 17-U boys: FC Wisconsin
- 18/19-U boys: FC Wisconsin

The Midwest Developmental League is one of 16 qualifying NPLs to the new Elite National Premier League (ENPL) competition.
