CHARLESTON, S.C. (June 18, 2014) - Four different clubs claimed championships during the Northeast Girls NPL playoffs, held June 14-15 in Marlboro, Mass. In all, six total teams punched their tickets to the upcoming NPL Finals, slated for July 10-14 in Greensboro, N.C.
PDA was the only club to secure multiple slots during the Finals weekend by winning both the U-15 and U-17 age groups. One of those championships, the U-17 final, went into overtime, as PDA rallied to tie Stars of Massachusetts. PDA went on to score in the 95th minute and held on to defeat the host club.

*Match Fit Academy’s U-18 team clinched its spot in the NPL Finals during a standalone championship game on June 11.
It was the inaugural season of the Northeast Girls NPL. Eleven clubs from five states comprise the league.
