For the purposes of determining champions, Northeast Pre-Academy League playoffs included the top eight teams in the U-13, U-14, U-15 and U-18 age groups.
Northeast Pre-Academy League champions advanced to the 2013 NPL Champions Cup, where NPL national championships were awarded. That event was held July 18-22 at Aurora Sports Park in suburban Denver.

In conjunction with the Northeast Pre-Academy League playoffs, US Club Soccer also hosted a Player Development Program (PDP) event for the top boys born in 2000.
The PDP event took place on Sun., June 16, with a morning session and afternoon session, scouted by U.S. Soccer technical staff and US Club Soccer id2 Program staff. Players identified through the PDP event were considered for inclusion in U.S. Soccer National Team programming and US Club Soccer’s id2 Program Training Camps.
US Club Soccer solicited recommendations for the PDP event from Directors of Coaching during the spring, and will select participants based on these recommendations and independent scouting during the Spring Showcase and during the spring season. PDP sessions will be “staggered” with the U-13 and U-14 Northeast Pre-Academy League playoffs, enabling scouts to observe players in both events.
