CHARLESTON, S.C. (Feb. 25, 2014) – Thirty-five players from Texas and Oklahoma competed in a Player Development Program (PDP) event, Feb. 23, in Houston, Texas, hosted by the NPL’s South Central Premier League.
The South Central Premier League joined the NPL ranks in Fall 2013 with seven member clubs from Texas and Oklahoma.
Nine different clubs were represented in the PDP, which targeted boys born in 2001 and girls born in 2000. Curriculum included a dynamic warm-up, technical passing exercises, small-sided games and more.
Players worked hard to impress scouts for possible invitations to upcoming id² Training Camps. The dates and locations of the two spring camps were recently announced as March 20-23 in Portland, Ore., and April 3-6 in Raleigh, N.C.
The coaches leading the PDP in Houston were: Rafael Brazo (Eclipse SC), Matt Kirk (Eclipse SC), Stacy McDaniel (Houston Express), Roland Sikinger (Dynamos SC) and George Villegas (Eclipse SC).
