It's a diverse finale with only three qualifying NPLs having multiple teams playing tomorrow. Central States NPL, Gulf States Premier League and the NEP NPL Division have two teams each.
Today was a crucial day, as teams either survived and advanced to the semifinal round tomorrow, or they saw their seasons come to a close.

Best of luck to all those who earned the rights to continue playing tomorrow!
The group stages march on into their second day at all the age groups of the Girls NPL Finals. It's an accomplishment to make it this far, but we know the teams in attendance aren't complacent. Emotions are running as high as the temperatures and altitude in Colorado, as a critical second day awaits.
UPDATE (3:30 p.m. MT): After two games, here are the clubs that have positioned themselves atop their divisions with perfect 2-0 records:
Two teams are recently familiar with Girls NPL Finals success, having achieved national champion or national finalist status in 2018.
SUSA NPL '03 (of the NYCSL - NPL Division) won the 15-U title last summer and returns to Colorado intent on going back-to-back. GPS MA '02 (of the NEP - NPL Division) came up just short last year in the 16-U bracket, finishing as national finalists. This year, GPS looks to take the next step and claim the 17-U championship.
UPDATE (5:45 p.m. MT): The opening day of the Girls NPL Finals is in the books. All 80 teams competed among three time slots: 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. MT. Kickoffs are a little earlier than typical US Club Soccer tournaments in an effort to get the games finished before the heat of the day. Not only are players battling a dry heat, but most are not accustomed to the higher altitude in Colorado.
The 16-U age group had the most tightly contested slate of games today. Of the six total games, four were decided by one goal, one ended in a tie and the other was a 2-0 result.
