Although the 2018-19 NPL season officially concluded with the Girls NPL Finals on July 15, numerous NPL teams continued competing the following week at US Club Soccer’s cup-based championship – the National Cup XVIII Finals – ultimately earning 14 of those 22 titles.
It was a clean sweep on the girls side of the 13-U through 19-U tournament, as NPL teams won all 10 divisions. Although NPL teams compete in their respective leagues throughout the season, they’re welcome to supplement their competitive calendar with other opportunities, and as US Club Soccer members, these teams added the National Cup to theirs. National Cup XVIII Finals participating teams earned qualification to the event through a National Cup XVIII Regional or qualifying state cup.
